  • Why do I keep getting an error message?

If you continually encounter an error message when you access a page on the OBC webserver, it may be due to one of three problems:
    • The OBC Server may be temporarily down -- If this is the case, try again in another hour or so, and the problem will hopefully be fixed by then.
    • The Internet may be congested - Sometimes the Internet connection between your ISP and the OBC Server is congested, or even broken. Try again in a few minutes, and the congestion may have cleared by then.
    • There may be a bug in OBC's code -- If you suspect this to be the case, please copy the error code from your computer screen and email the details to helpdesk@online-bible-college.com.
It is important to make sure that your browser's "HTTP Friendly Error Messages" option is switched off. If your error message reads something like, "500 Error," this doesn't provide us with enough information. Before you send OBC the details of any error message, it is important first to switch off the "HTTP Friendly Error Messages" option. To do so, please follow the instructions at http://www.online-bible-college.com/tech/errormessage.htm.
